Recently, "the sixth foreign language festival, NWU" hosted by the School League Committee and our school was opening in the music square on the south campus. Many leaders from the university and our school attended the opening ceremony.

On the ceremony, the director of the Student Affair Department Tian Binquan made a speech and then the vice secretary of party committee Kang Lianke announced that the festival began. With many excellent art performances, the atmosphere was enthusiastic and wonderful. Students went to different exhibition areas, enjoying the Japanese Tea Ceremony, Scotland dance, Korean traditional wedding ceremony, and the French outdoor cafe. In inheriting traditions of the former festivals, this one also had the innovation, adding four special exhibition zones: Costume Zone, Cuisine Zone, Video Zone, Cartoon and sketch zone. All those gave students a chance to experience the rich and colorful foreign cultures.

This festival would last two weeks from late November to early December. After the opening ceremony, a series of activities would be held such as English Debating Competition, masters' lectures, photography show, and Japanese Culture Competition. This festival provided a platform for students to know the foreign cultures, cultivated their interest in learning, and promoted the culture exchanges between China and foreign countries.
